Dating Service News

"According to It's Just Lunch, a dating service with a location in Scottsdale, a survey of 1,167 singles showed 43 percent of them have 'Googled' someone on the Internet before a first date. When the ones who checked up on their dates via the Web were asked if they would be offended if their date Googled them, 88 percent said, 'No way, I Googled them too.'"

- Scottsdale Tribune

"A dating service called It's Just Lunch recently conducted a survey of 7,809 single, and some of the findings may surprise you. Everyone has heard the saying, 'Gentlemen prefer blondes,' but it seems that's really only true in Southern california, where 67 percent of men prefer women with light hair color; everywhere else, 76 percent of respondents actually liked brunettes better."

- North Scottsdale Times

"The odds of sparking anything beyond an introduction, however, are not in most people’s favor. Only 27 percent of East Coast men have met a future date at another’s nuptials, according to a survey of 2,774 singles conducted by the dating service It’s Just Lunch. And, as for the few that did find love, it didn’t even last as long as the frozen top tier of the wedding cake. Only 3 percent of couples who met at weddings are still together today."

- Arizona Republic

"There had to be a civilized and convenient way to meet potential partners. Wouldn't it be nice if there was a dating service that arranged prescreened lunch dates for busy professionals? Her clients are highly educated: About 95% graduated from college, and 80% have post-graduate degrees."
